Cabela's Retail, Inc is hiring an Asset Protection Department Manager for our new Retail Showroom in Grand Junction, Colorado to open in 2010. This position is a critical link to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts.

This position's duties include:

• Maintains store surveillance systems and monitors and adjusts as necessary
• Ensures compliance by staff with company policies and procedures
• Communicates with customer service manager and cash office lead to resolve overs and shorts
• Communicates with operations manager regarding any suspicious behavior (internal or external) and takes appropriate actions
• Trains and educates entire staff on loss prevention awareness and procedures
• Performs daily random package and coat checks. Monitors buildings physical security (i.e. door, alarms, etc.)
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

This position requires:

• Knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of general retail practices and procedures
• Knowledge and skill in operating various surveillance equipment
• Skill in effectively solving problems
• Ability to create an efficient work environment with minimal supervision
• Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand
• Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
• Ability to direct the work of others
• Ability to effectively function as a team player
• Specialized training or two to three years previous experience in loss prevention techniques
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
• Looking for a solutions-oriented individual who possesses the ability to handle complex customer issues in a diplomatic manner
• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent
• Strong Verbal & Written communication skills
• Must be able to work the following: at least 3 out of 4 weekends a month; any day, including holidays; opening and closing shifts
