Position Description

LALA Foods is a young yet fast-growing US subsidiary of Grupo LALA, the leading producer and marketer of dairy products in Mexico. Our principal focus is the marketing and sales of LALA dairy products to consumers in the United States. We also manage dairy product production and supply chain activities primarily through a network of third party providers. Our products include milk, sour cream, cheese and yogurt in a variety of sizes and flavors.

The A/R Billing Specialist is responsible for all billing related administrative functions, including review and posting of regular A/R bills, preparing and posting EDI bills, following-up on customer requests when invoices are missing or transmitted incorrectly. Ensures accuracy in billing documents by working with auxiliary departments.  
 
Daily duties include phone activity and computer use, as well as filing and faxing of customer invoices and information.  Additionally, the A/R Billing Specialist is responsible settling all incoming sales orders ready for billing.
 
Daily accuracy of work is necessary for inventory control and accountability.  Additional responsibilities include: housekeeping and adherence to distribution safety standards.
 
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with the ability to work overtime as business needs require.
 
Required qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Typing and 10-key skills
  • 1-3 years experience on the telephone
  • Prior Accounts Receivable experience
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
  • Telephone collections
Desired qualifications:
 
  • Some college coursework completed
  • Experience with large ERP system like SAP
  • Prior experience with EDI billing
