QUALIFICATIONS:
· College/university degree in accounting.
· Minimum 2 years experience in accounting, financial reporting and analysis related to business operations.
· Ability to work independently and within a team environment
· Detail oriented and organized
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills to present solutions & options to business
· Highly motivated and excellent time management skills working within established time frames
· Proficient in advanced Excel (Graphs, charts, presentations, spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc).
· Demonstrated proficiency in use of business applications such as MS, Access and MS Excel to automate typical tasks
· Ability to multi task on several projects to meet deadlines
· Database knowledge and hands on experience is a plus
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work on month end/quarter end and year end financial closing; support on financial report package
· Perform accounts consolidation and reconciliation; analysis of specific accounts in detail
· Research and analyze balance sheet/P&L accounts, trace the variance and outstanding items
· Make adjustment suggestions and journal entries into ledger system
· Sort information and prepare ad hoc report as required
· Coordinate within the finance team and with other function teams on analysis, report and solutions
· Monitor and analyze the transaction file – the day end file and implement adjustment on discrepancies
· Maintain and ensure the integrity of accounting system and database
· Identify improvements needed to existing processes, and initiate, develop, document and implement effective procedures and controls
